Speeding driver caught with cocaine Tuesday

A 21-year-old Minnesota man was arrested on drug charges Tuesday morning after being pulled over for speeding on Interstate 35 near the 176 mile marker in Franklin County.

Josiah Tamba, of New Hope, Minnesota, is facing charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, along with possession of cocaine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Sheriff Aaron Dodd, Tamba was initially pulled over for driving 88 miles per hour in a 70 mile-per-hour zone.

Tamba is currently being held at the Hardin County Jail on a $3,000 cash-only bond.
