Keep Iowa Beautiful and Diamond Vogel have announced 2026 Paint Iowa Beautiful grant recipients, with projects in Clarion and New Hartford among those selected.

The Clarion Development Alliance and the Friends of the Martin Memorial Library in New Hartford will receive paint through the program, which supports volunteer-led efforts to improve public spaces.

The initiative, now in its 23rd year, provides free paint for projects involving community buildings, parks, libraries and other shared spaces. In 2026, 100 grants are being awarded as part of Diamond Vogel’s centennial celebration.

Officials say maintaining and improving community spaces plays a key role in local vitality, helping foster civic pride, encourage volunteerism and attract visitors and businesses.

Since the partnership began in 2003, the program has supported more than 1,600 projects statewide, providing enough paint to cover over five million square feet of surfaces.
