
The Hampton-Dumont-CAL boys soccer team earned a 7-2 win at Iowa Falls-Alden Monday, as aired on 104.9 KLMJ and RadioOnTheGo’s YouTube channel.
Oziel Trevino and Owen Penning traded goals within the first 15 minutes for a 1-1 tie. With 3:53 left in the first half, Hunter Rieken connected on a shot for a 2-1 Bulldog lead, then hit another 24 seconds later. With 0:58 until halftime, Jordan Sosa-Martinez capped off a strong half by the Bulldogs for a 4-1 halftime lead.
Jairo Martinez connected on a goal with 7:55 left in the game, then Rieken hit two more in quick succession before the end. The Cadets had one more score when Penning connected on his second goal of the game in the final minutes. Rieken says the team heated up as the game progressed.

Returning to action Thursday, Hampton-Dumont-CAL will be at Humboldt and Iowa Falls-Alden will be at Clear Lake.
