The Franklin County Board of Supervisors handled routine business and approved two resolutions during its regular meeting Tuesday.

Supervisors approved resolutions related to tax compliance procedures for tax-exempt bonds and policies governing municipal securities disclosure. Both measures passed unanimously.

Department updates were presented by County Engineer Jay Waddingham, Sheriff Aaron Dodd and Auditor Katy Flint.

The board also discussed future strategic planning efforts but opted to delay further action until after the state legislative session concludes, citing potential changes to property tax laws. This item will be further discussed in June or July.

Supervisors also met in a special session Tuesday afternoon, where they awarded the sale of General Obligation Urban Renewal Bonds for the county’s 2026 Courthouse Urban Renewal Project. The board approved a bid from BOK Financial Securities of Milwaukee, citing the lowest interest cost. Further action on the bond issuance and loan agreement is scheduled for April 21.
