The 98th Iowa FFA Leadership Conference will bring students from across the state to Ames later this month to celebrate achievements in agricultural education.
The annual conference is scheduled for April 19-21 and will recognize FFA members for accomplishments in leadership, academics and hands-on agricultural experiences.
Organizers say the event will feature keynote speaker Joey Nowotny, an Iowa dairy farmer and National FFA officer.
One of the featured activities will be the Meals from the Heartland service project, a partnership with Cargill that is expected to approach 1.5 million meals packaged this year. Over the course of the partnership, Iowa FFA members have packaged nearly 3 million meals.
The conference will also include recognition of 45 chapters earning the National Chapter Award for their work during the 2025 calendar year, along with the announcement of 14 Stars Over Iowa finalists.
In addition, 45 students will be honored as proficiency award winners for their experiential learning in various areas of agriculture, and Agriscience Fair winners will be recognized for research conducted across the state.
Conference results and updates will be posted throughout the event on the Iowa FFA website.
