
The Iowa Falls-Alden golf teams each won the team title at their home tournaments Wednesday. Originally scheduled to be an 18-hole tournament, it was reduced to nine due to thunderstorms.
The Cadet boys scored 154 strokes, South Hardin placed second with 168 and Hampton-Dumont-CAL was fourth with 213. IFA’s Karsen Kalous topped the leaderboard with 34 strokes for -2. Jonathan Snyder was second with 36, Ryder Pitre was fifth with 41 and Jacoby Hobson rounded out the team scoring by tying for ninth with 43.
South Hardin was led by Owen Larson, who placed third with 39. Hampton-Dumont-CAL’s Caiden Heilskov tied for ninth with 43 to lead the team.
The Cadet girls finished with 201 strokes for the win. South Hardin placed third with 233 and Hampton-Dumont-CAL was fourth with 242. Olivia Scholte was the runner-up with 47 strokes. Montana Thies was third with 48. Rounding out the team scoring, Noelle Winters finished with 51 strokes for sixth place, and Elody England placed ninth with 55.
Leading the Tigers, Kiersten Winter placed seventh with 52 strokes. Keely Moorehead led the Bulldogs with 50 strokes to place fifth.
