
The Grundy Center City Council will consider adopting its fiscal year 2027 budget during its regular meeting Monday evening.
The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at city hall council chambers in Grundy Center.
A public hearing on the proposed budget is set as part of the agenda, followed by council action on a resolution to adopt the fiscal year 2027 annual city budget.
Council members will also hold a public hearing on a proposed ordinance and consider its first reading. The ordinance would amend city code to set three-year appointment terms for the ambulance chief and police chief positions.
In other business, the council will consider awarding several downtown improvement grants. Proposed resolutions include funding for façade and building repairs at 602 G Ave., as well as roof and gutter replacement projects at 612 G Ave. and 803 G Ave.
The council is also expected to discuss a proposed ordinance related to junk and hobby vehicles and may take action to set a future public hearing.
