Finishing four points shy of Roland-Story, the Aplington-Parkersburg boys track & field team was the runner-up at Monday’s Bulldog Invitational at Hampton-Dumont-CAL. Aaden Keehn – 2nd in 400 hurdles
Beau Morton – 2nd in discus
4×100 – 2nd

Head Coach Dan Aalbers describes the highlight performances.

“Beau had just missed out on Drake, that throw would have got him in, it’s just a little late,” Aalbers says. “But Beau’s been super consistent. I think he had all four of them over 50 feet. It just shows, you practice, practice and you get good at stuff. Other field events, Joe Powers, he’s only long jumped I think twice and hit 19 feet. That’s pretty darn good as a long jumper. The sprint medley, the first running race of the night, we ended up winning. Briggs Gruelke anchored that to that 400. Aaden Keehn ran the 200. I always like sprint medleys right away. We perform pretty well usually to set the meet. So, lots of good performances.”
