The Dike-New Hartford School Board approved its fiscal year 2026-27 budget and acted on several personnel, facilities and program items during its meeting on April 15.
The board adopted the $24,047,785 budget following a brief public hearing. The certified property tax asking totals $5,019,241, with a tax rate of $14.33 per $1,000 of assessed valuation and an income surtax of 8%.
In the regular meeting that followed, board members approved departmental reports and several contracts, including coaching and teaching positions.
The board reviewed a five-year facility plan and heard a presentation from a Daktronics representative regarding potential upgrade options to the high school football and track scoreboard.
Among action items, the board approved a student teaching agreement with Wartburg College, school fees for the 2026-27 year and an athletic training agreement with Athletico that extends through the 2030-31 school year. The board also approved an extended day prekindergarten program in Dike and a tennis court resurfacing project at the New Hartford campus.
