
The Franklin County Board of Supervisors will meet Tuesday in regular session at the courthouse, with an agenda that includes budget action, infrastructure planning and policy discussions.
Secondary Roads Engineer Jay Waddingham is expected to present a resolution for approval of the county’s fiscal year 2026-27 Iowa Department of Transportation secondary roads budget, along with a five-year construction program.
Supervisors will also discuss a possible moratorium on future battery storage facilities and related road damage concerns.
Drainage issues will be a focus later in the morning, including consideration of a utility permit application for Alliant Energy. Supervisors also are expected to acknowledge a revised engineer’s report for Drainage District 3 and set a hearing to accept the revised report.
Conservation Director Ned Parker will provide a departmental update, and County Auditor Katy Flint is scheduled to discuss potential changes to county credit card use.
