
The Grundy Center girls golf team won the title at Monday’s North Iowa Cedar League Girls Golf Tournament. With 353 strokes, they were 17 ahead of second place Jesup. Dike-New Hartford scored 372 to place third, South Hardin was eighth with 437, Aplington-Parkersburg was ninth with 445 and AGWSR was 11th with 474.
The Spartans were led by a second place finish by Reagan Pekarek with 81 strokes. Macey Kiewiet placed seventh with 87, Riley Whitehill was 10th with 92 and Contessa Dirks was 12th with 93.
Dike-New Hartford was led by Seeri Smith, who scored 83 to place fourth. Keely Kauten placed 6th with 86, Hayden Gutknecht was 18th with 98 and Tess Nielsen was 30th with 105.
South Hardin was led by a 28th place finish by Kiersten Winter with 104. Kaylee Stahl led Aplington-Parkersburg with 105 strokes to place 29th. AGWSR was led by Claire Meyer and Aniya Vogel with 102 strokes, placing 22nd and 24th.
