Hampton City Manager Ron Dunt is one of three finalists for the position of city administrator in Clear Lake. The other two finalists are the city administrator in Charles City Steven Diers, and acting city administrator in Clear Lake Jacob Widman.
Dunt graduated from the University of Northern Iowa, and moved with his family to Hampton from West Union in 1999. He worked as the Franklin County Assessor for about 4- years until he accepted the position of Hampton City Manager, so he is a few months shy of his 22-year anniversary with the city.
To engage the community in the final selection process, the City of Clear Lake will host a Public Meet and Greet event where residents can meet the candidates, ask questions, and share feedback. The event will be held May 2nd from 5-6:15pm at the city hall council chambers.
Clear Lake City Clerk Jennifer Larsen tells RadioOnTheGo News that candidate interviews will take place on May 3rd. The next city council meeting in Clear Lake will be on May 5th.
