
The Dike-New Hartford girls tennis team seemingly picked up where it left off, sweeping a triangular to begin the season Friday. In duals played at Webster City, they defeated the hosts 7-2 and Ballard 9-0.
Among the notable wins against Webster City, Autumn Meester won 6-0, 6-1 at #3 singles, Haley Badker won 6-0, 6-1 at #4 singles, and Badker/Meester won 6-1, 6-0 at #2 doubles.
Against Ballard, Badker at #4 singles and Taraya Johnson at #6 singles each won 8-0 sweeps.
DNH will return to action Tuesday at Bynres Park, where they’ll take on Aplington-Parkersburg and Grundy Center in a double dual.
