The Rowan City Council met in regular session Monday night. Council members approved a payment plan for the new owners of 504 Pritchett Street, who are working to settle nearly $1,200 in back sewer charges. The arrangement allows payments over 12 months if the property is used as a primary residence.

The council also approved up to $125 in reimbursement for grass seeding following a septic repair on Ahrens. Updates were given on several projects, including roof work at the Rowan REC building, which is expected to be completed this week.

In other action, the council approved two chicken permits, discussed design changes for the outdoor classroom, and scheduled pothole patching near the events center for September 6.

The next council meeting is set for October 6 at 7 p.m.
