As initiatives are beginning to help offset the uncertainty surrounding SNAP benefits, Fareway Stores, Inc. has announced it will be running a month-long initiative throughout November to support those in need. CEO Reynolds Cramer says customers can help out through three ways. Customers can purchase pre-bagged, SNAP eligible food items which will be distributed to local food banks and pantries near the store’s location. Customers can also donate individual items of their choice or contribute through monetary contributions. All Fareway check stands will accept donations with every dollar going towards purchasing food products for nearby food banks and pantries.
Additionally, throughout the month of November, Fareway says it will match all contributions in value to double food insecurity efforts.
