All seven spring sports teams at Aplington-Parkersburg will compete Thursday.
The #12 (1A) girls soccer team will host GC-GR on 99 The Wave and RadioOnTheGo’s YouTube channel. It’ll be a clash between teams on win streaks. AP has won three straight, all in shutout fashion while scoring 18 goals. Lorna Bernard leads with a team-high six goals. The Rebels have won two straight, scoring 15 goals in those games while shutting out their opponents. Pregame coverage will start at 4:55.
The AP/DNH boys soccer team will travel to GC-GR for a 5:30 start. They’ve lost two straight, and the Rebels have won two straight.
The boys tennis team will be put to the test at Decorah. They’ve won their first two duals by 9-0 scores, but Head Coach Grant Wedeking says the Vikings could offer one of the biggest challenges of the season.
It’ll start at 4:00 p.m.
The golf teams will each compete at a triangular at Oelwein, where South Hardin will also play. The first tee times are at 4:15 p.m.
The track & field teams will be in action at separate locations on the final day of Drake Relays qualifying. The boys will be at the Hudson Relays at 4:30, and the girls will be at the Lady Wolverine Invitational at Dike-New Hartford at 4:45.
