The Iowa Falls City Council will hold two meetings Monday at city hall, with budget discussions and infrastructure projects among the key agenda items.
A meeting at 5:30 p.m. will focus on the proposed fiscal year 2026-27 budget, including a review and discussion of a potential 3% pay increase for non-union employees.
During the regular evening session at 6:30 p.m., council members will conduct a public hearing on the proposed budget and consider a resolution to adopt it and certify property taxes.
Other agenda items include discussion of a proposal from the Fire Fighters Association to purchase a quick attack fire truck, a tree removal request that was previously denied by the tree board and a snow removal invoice review.
Council members are also expected to consider a bridge replacement project over the Iowa River, and discuss funding for tourism and downtown improvement projects.
The meeting will conclude with committee updates and a possible closed session.
