TDG Forbes will relocate its New York production facility to Mason City, creating 25 to 30 skilled jobs in Cerro Gordo County.
The company announced Thursday that the move also will include a $1 million investment in advanced digital printing equipment. Several experienced employees and their families from New York also are expected to move to North Iowa as part of the relocation.
TDG Forbes currently employs more than 50 people at its Mason City location. The company manufactures custom vinyl heat-sealed products, ad-specialty items, custom corrugated packaging, digital direct-print signage, turned-edge presentation packaging and commercial and digital print products.
The investment includes a 126-inch hybrid LED-UV press designed to handle rigid sheets and roll media, improve production speed and reduce waste. TDG Forbes says the equipment will help shorten lead times and improve color quality for regional customers.
