
The 2025 city/school election is three weeks away.
There are a few contested races in Butler County. In Allison, incumbent Mayor Scot Henrichs is not seeking reelection. Former council member Tim Junker is the lone name on the ballot for Allison Mayor. On the Allison City Council, four people are running for two seats; Mitchell Grummit, Jodi Bangasser, Shane Carlson and Janis Cramer.
Clarksville Mayor Jerald Heuer is running for reelection and will be challenged by Michael Grantham. Grantham is the former mayor of Clarksville and was defeated by Heuer during the 2023 city/school election. Four people are running for three seats on the Clarksville City Council; Nick Treib, Jeremy M. Hoerman, Wesley Voss and Amy Learn.
Dumont Mayor Edwin Mouw is not seeking reelection this year. There will be two running for the position of mayor in Dumont; Mary Tyrrell and Carson Freese. There are five people running for two seats on the Dumont City Council; Valerie Menken, Lukas Smith, David Shear, Marty Evans and Michael Day.
In Greene, incumbent Warren Van Dyke will be challenged by Kristopher Dralle and Galen Lindell for the mayor’s seat. This year’s election is November 4th.
