The Hardin County Board of Supervisors met Wednesday morning and opened bids for a new Secondary Roads storage shed.
Five bids were submitted for the project, with Next Gen of Hubbard submitting the apparent low bid at about $992,000. Other bids came from Steege Construction of Waverly, Kingland Construction of Forest City, England Contracting of Iowa Falls and King Construction of Iowa Falls. Officials say the bids will now be reviewed before a recommendation is made. Action on the bids is expected at the board’s March 18 meeting.
In other business, Ben Scott was appointed to the Hardin County Conservation Board to fill an unexpired term through Dec. 31, 2030.
