Clarksville City Council sets meeting agenda for April 6

The Clarksville City Council will meet Monday evening to address several infrastructure, budget and personnel-related items.

Among the key items on the agenda is setting dates and times for a public bid opening and a public hearing related to the Church Street water main improvement project.

Council members will also consider a resolution to set a public hearing on a proposed general obligation loan agreement to help finance the purchase of a fire truck. The borrowing amount would not exceed $625,000.

In other business, the council is expected to act on resolutions related to part-time seasonal maintenance positions, discuss line striping for 2026 and set a citywide clean-up date.

Officials will also consider designating an official newspaper for the remainder of 2026 and 2027 following the closure of the Clarksville Star.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall.
