
The Aplington-Parkersburg School Board met Monday.
They approved the Fiscal Year 2027 budget of $24 million. They approved the purchase of an athletic field painting robot. They also approved May 29 as the last day of school for students, with June 2 as the last day for teachers.
Regarding facility upgrades, they approved replacing light fixtures in the high school, resurfacing of the high school track, and the roof replacement project at Aplington Elementary/Middle School. They also approved the 2026 graduating class, and a student’s request to graduate after their junior year.
Among personal matters, they accepted the resignation of Brian Buseman as Middle School Principal.
They’ll next meet for a special meeting on Wednesday, April 29.
