The North Butler School Board met last week in Allison, holding brief public hearings on the proposed 2026–27 property tax rate and certified budget with no public comment.
Board members approved the 2026–27 certified budget, setting the tax rate at $11.14 per $1,000 of taxable valuation, and adopted a budget guarantee resolution. The board also approved transferring $70,699 from the district’s flexibility account to the general fund to support educational needs.
Several personnel changes were approved, including multiple teacher resignations, new hires in teaching and support staff roles, and internal staff transfers.
The board also approved a shared nursing agreement with Clarksville, accepted bids for lighting upgrades in both district buildings, and approved up to $74,000 for flooring improvements in the Allison building. In addition, members amended the current school calendar to include a two-hour late start on May 15.
