
The Aplington-Parkersburg boys tennis team was dominant in a 9-0 home win over South Tama County Friday. They only gave up one game in the entire meet while playing 10-game pro sets. The doubles pair of Jonah Carney/Noah Harbaugh say their main goal is preparing for Tuesday’s conference tournament.

The girls golf team fell 187-211 at Jesup. Sydni Ridder led the team by scoring 48 to tie for second. Kaylee Stahl placed sixth, Kaibree Nisius was eighth and Stella Walker was ninth.
The boys golf team defeated Jesup 157-180. All four scoring golfers placed in the top four, led by Cormick Steege, Benny Waller and Brandon Hartbarger each scoring 39 to lead the way. Nate Peters placed fourth by scoring 40.
The girls track & field team was fifth with 68 points at the Harry Dole Classic Coed at Grundy Center. Top performances:

4×400 – 2nd
4×800 – 2nd
Sophia Junker – 2nd in discus
Rounding out the day’s action, the AP/DNH boys soccer team won 5-0 at Independence. Aiden Merrill scored four goals, with one by Zion Uhlenhopp.
