The #10 (1A) Aplington-Parkersburg girls soccer team completed a season sweep with a 5-0 home win over Dike-New Hartford Monday, as aired on 99 The Wave and RadioOnTheGo’s YouTube channel.
The Falcons got on the board twice in the first half with goals by Adri Allan and Kiara Morris. Bella Bernard opened the scoring in the second half, followed by another from Morris and the final by Lorna Bernard to cap off a decisive performance. Allan says strong teamwork has been a key to success all season.
DNH was limited to very few scoring opportunities, and Emma Haan recorded the shutout in the goal. DNH Coach Emma Eden.
Starting at goalkeeper for the first time in her career, Miya Soppe recorded 15 saves.
DNH will return to action Thursday at Columbus Catholic, and AP will next compete Friday at GC-GR.
