The Belmond City Council will hold a public hearing Monday on a budget amendment for fiscal year 2025-26.
After the hearing, the council is scheduled to consider a resolution which would approve the budget amendment. The council will also consider the second reading of an ordinance regarding sewer service charges and may waive the third reading and adopt the ordinance in final form.
New business includes driveway improvements for Hancock County Coop Oil on 150th Street, an engagement agreement with Ahlers & Cooney for the 2026 Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvements Project, an audit engagement letter with Fort & Schlegel, and naming the Wright County Independent as the city’s official newspaper.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday at Belmond City Hall.
