The Franklin General Hospital Auxiliary has announced the recipients of its 2026 scholarships for graduating seniors from Franklin County.
The Auxiliary has awarded scholarships annually since 1979 to students planning to enter health-related fields. Scholarship funding comes from Auxiliary fundraising events held throughout the year, including the mum sale, Tree of Hope campaign and bridge tournaments.
This year, four students will each receive a $750 scholarship following completion of their first year of college.
The recipients include Jacob Minardi of Hampton, who plans to major in neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University; Brody Strother of Hampton, who plans to study pre-optometry at the University of Iowa; Kylie Tizzano of Dumont, who plans to attend Ohio State University to become a licensed pharmacist; and Morgan Woodley of Ackley, who plans to attend Mercy College of Health Sciences to pursue pediatric oncology nursing.
Scholarship applications are distributed each fall through area high school counselors, with recipients selected by a committee of Auxiliary members.
