Iowa U.S. Senate candidate Jim Carlin has picked up a high-profile national endorsement from retired Lieutenant General Michael T. Flynn ahead of next month’s primary election on June 2nd. According to a press release, Flynn strongly voiced his support for the Sioux City Republican, describing Carlin as an Army veteran and constitutional attorney who has spent decades standing up for ordinary Americans. Flynn praised Carlin’s record on election integrity and his commitment to defending constitutional freedoms, stating that Carlin has the resolve to fight for an “America First” agenda in Washington.
The endorsement comes as campaigns enter their final stretch for the open U.S. Senate seat, which became vacant after Republican incumbent Joni Ernst declined to seek a third term. Carlin is facing U.S. Representative Ashley Hinson for the Republican nomination.
