The Ackley City Council met in special session Tuesday and held a public hearing on the city’s next fiscal year budget. No comments were received. The council then approved a resolution adopting said budget. The levy rate in Ackley will be $16.63 per $1,000 of assessed property value.
Council members approved a resolution setting city employee wages for the next fiscal year, including a 3% increase.
The council also tabled action on a quote from Pleva Mechanical for splash pad repairs and approved filling a council vacancy by appointment after Mike Abbas was appointed mayor April 8, leaving his former seat open.
