AP/DNH will host Iowa Falls-Alden to begin the boys soccer playoffs Monday in a 2A Substate 2 first round game. It’ll air on 99 The Wave.
The United have won four straight entering postseason play, including a win over Columbus Catholic last week that secured the North Iowa Cedar League title. Leading the NICL with 29 goals on the season, junior Aiden Merrill has scored 29, and Zion Uhlenhopp leads Iowa with 23 assists. The Cadets have competed closer with opponents than they did throughout the first half of the season, and earned a 2-0 win over Charles City last week for their second victory of the year. Head Coach Jake Kaune.
