Local action at the Drake Relays concluded with six 4×100 teams and an individual competing.
In the girls 4×100, Dike-New Hartford’s group of Abby Jensen, Chloe Paulsen, Kailyn Meester and Ruby Varney placed 40th in a PR of 50.24. Jensen and Meester on the performance.
South Hardin placed 54th in a PR of 50.71, with Lorina Dykman, Katie Allison, Brynley Weig and Ayda Eller bringing the stick around the track. Eller and Allison say they’ve come a long way.
Grundy Center’s group of Jocelyn Freed, Maddy Hendershot, Allison Koch and Ava Heeren placed 74th in a PR of 51.30.
In the boys 4×100, Dike-New Hartford’s Jacob Burch, Quinn Mills, Aiden Walston and Aiden Meester placed 82nd in 44.32.
Aplington-Parkersburg’s Maddox Kruger, Sully Janssen, Owen Pruisner and Mason Pruisner were a spot behind, placing 83rd in 44.43.
Grundy Center’s Pete Lebo, Judd Jirovsky, Hayden Geerdes and Brayden Davie were disqualified because of an exchange zone error.
Finishing out local action, Grundy Center’s Emerson Vokes placed eighth in a PR of 4:16.57.
