Five Aplington-Parkersburg spring sports teams were in action Monday.

The girls golf team placed third with 213 strokes at a triangular at Iowa Falls-Alden. Leading the team, Sydni Ridder scored 51 to place sixth.
The boys golf team was scheduled to host an 18-hole tournament, but it was rescheduled to Wednesday.

The boys tennis team won 9-0 at Hampton-Dumont-CAL. In a lopsided performance, they had 8-0 wins in singles by Tyler Wedeking at #1, Kaidyn Purdy at #2 and Troy Neymeyer at #3.

The #12 (1A) girls soccer team won 10-0 at Central Iowa United. After leading 3-0 at halftime, they scored seven in the second half to end the game early.

The United boys soccer team won 9-2 at Central Iowa United, scoring four goals in the first half with five in the second. Aiden Merrill had a team-high four goals with three added by Max Cummings.

The boys track & field team competed at a five-team meet at Dike-New Hartford, where no team scores were kept. The 4×100 placed first. They had runner-up finishes by the 4×200, Owen Price in the 3200 and Corbin Wyant in the discus.
