The North Butler girls track & field program recently had a new program record set. The girls 4×100 group of Alexis Rose, Claire McCandless, Laney Brinkman and Cora Barnett finished in 52.02 at Garner Hayfield Ventura on Tuesday, April 21. Head Coach Collin Freesemann.
That mark is currently 17th in Class 1A.
One of the best marks for the team is the shuttle hurdle relay of Brinkman, McCandless, Linde Fleshner and Rose. With a season-best time of 1:10.20, they’re currently fifth in Class 1A.
The team has had limited opportunities to compete due to four meets being cancelled, but they’ll return to action at Tuesday’s Lady Simons Relays at Dike-New Hartford.
